Today’s vehicles come equipped with control units that cannot be swapped to another vehicle. This makes the cost of parts rise dramatically. Even the new parts do not always include software for the vehicle. We are equipped to program the original software to a donor module when original parts are irreparable.Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why do I need to repair, reset, reprogram this module?A: Once a deployment has occurred, the module must be reprogrammed in order to function again.
Q: Can I purchase a module from a salvage yard vehicle that has had no airbags deployed?
A: Yes, however, most vehicles come coded to the VIN and swapping the module will not work. This module carries information about the vehicle and therefore must be installed in the original vehicle.
Q: How much can I save by resetting the SRS module?
A: You can save as much as 70% compared with buying new from a dealer.
Q: Why won’t the vehicle start after I have replaced a PCM?
A: Most PCM’s need to be flashed in order to start the vehicle. Digi Controls can provide local mobile service upon customer request.
Q: Is it true that I need a new SRS computer after deployment?
A: Most SRS computers can be reprogrammed/repaired. Please call for vehicle application.
Q: Do you calibrate odometers and gauges?
A: Yes. However, a waiver must be signed before we can provide this service.
